Dolphin (PG) College of Science & Agriculture is an autonomous institution which provides opportunities to the student community to opt for agricultural courses and to modify & globalize their personalities. Currently, the College offers 20, Post Graduate and Under Graduate and New Courses in the field of Agriculture Sciences.

Dolphin (PG) College of Life Sciences has an affiliation from Punjabi University, Patiala, which is recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) and is also “A” grade approved by NAAC.

It is a 4 year undergraduate Bachelor Degree program which focuses on agriculture science with the use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc.

The main aim of this program is to use practical concepts to train students and consequently improve agricultural productivity.

A person who has secured at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/tribes) in four compulsory subjects i.e. Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Math and English.




B. Sc. in Horticulture is a 4 year full-time undergraduate course which is divided into 8 semesters. Horticulture is the branch of Agricultural Science that deals with the cultivation of vegetables, plants, flowers, herbs, fruits, shrubs, bushes, gardens, ornamental trees, maintaining nurseries, greenhouses, orchards and plantations and also floriculture or cultivation of flowers.

This study makes use of concepts of Biochemistry, Biology, and Genetic Engineering etc and has direct and indirect applications in food technology.




The candidates who have passed Matriculation Examination of any state or Board Which is equivalent to Punjab School Education Board can seek admission to that course.

The first Two Years will be as per the syllabus of Punjab school education Board with the subject of English, Punjabi/Punjabi History & culture, Environment Education, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Maths. There is an option to study Agriculture as an additional subject. Two years later the scheme will be as per B.ScAgriculture (4 years)




Agronomy is a 2- year long full- time course divided into 4 semesters, with each semester of 6 months. The course is intended to offer to eligible candidates, advanced insight into the means of providing options for sustainable agriculture for both the wellness of the environment and humans.
Students are prepared to communicate with the public, farmers and fellow scientists through a wide range of methods. With an expansion in the need of new ways for improving sustainable farming practices, the discipline is fast-growing popularity in the country, in both government and private sectors.

Candidate who want to enroll themselves in M.Sc program of DolphinLife Science College should have passed the four-year bachelor's degree - B.Sc. Agriculture or B.Sc Horticulture with at least 50% marks for General category candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST/PH category.
